Abstract  For cascaded power electronic transformer, ripple voltage in the dc side will affect the reliability and restrict the optimization of volume and energy density. To suppress and control the ripple voltage, a novel control strategy is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the topology and control strategy of cascaded PET are described briefly. From the perspective of the dc ripple voltage generating mechanism, the ripple voltage suppression strategy with a ripple power transmission channel is proposed for PET. Then, the model of the proposed control strategy is built. The nonlinear link of the model is decoupled by a linear fitting method to analyze the control performance of the DC loop and AC loop. Simulation and experiment results have verified the proposed control strategy.
