Abstract Electrical vehicle (EV) have to operate in different conditions including null-load, light-load, and heavy-load, so the inverter need to work in wide power range. Conventional phase-shifted full-bridge converters have problems such as difficult to achieve ZVS for lagging bridge. This paper adapted a current-enhanced inverter topology with auxiliary network to design a wide-power-range inverter for wireless charging system. By analysis on mechanism of current and voltage peaks in actual system, corresponding measures are taken and hardware system is established. The result of experiments showed that the designed inverter could achieve ZVS under all three operating conditions.
