Study on an Optimal Partition Scheme Considering Reactive Power in Large Power Grid |

Abstract Power system controlled islanding is an active control strategy to split the inter- connected power grid into several islands on line when the system is subject to severe disturbances and will be out of step. This paper presents a fast islanding strategy for large power networks considering the reactive power considering the balance between the active power and reactive power without simplify the network to obtain the global optimal solution. Simulations on central China power grid and Poland grid show that the proposed strategy is correct and effective.
