| Digital Control Algorithms for DC/DC Converters Based on Capacitor Charge Balance |

Abstract The principle of capacitor charge balance is utilized to develop dynamic performance control algorithms for DC/DC converters. The digital model of optimal algorithms are presented under load current variation or input voltage variation. The proposed algorithms effectively improve the dynamic response of the converter by reducing the output voltage under/overshoot and minimizing the recovery time. Experimental results test the effectiveness of these two algorithms, in 25W, 400kHz synchronous rectifier Buck converter, the application of the control algorithm makes DC/DC converter's dynamic response to achieve the best optimization.
