Abstract  In this paper, a new three input ports generation system with open-winding generator for hybrid generation system is proposed. An open-winding topology is used to simplify the structure and save the cost. However, the problem of several sources coupling results in the complicated design in controllers and worse parameter robustness. According to the system topology and control target, one-cycle control (OCC) strategy is used to improve dynamic response and weaken the coupling parameters among the multi-PI regulators. Compared to PI control strategy, OCC has the advantages such as simple structure, fast dynamic response and absent regulator requirement. The proposed control algorithm and comparison with PI control are verified by Matlab/Simulink and experiment results.
