Abstract The traditional power flow calculation is based on a single operating point calculation cannot deal with the uncertainty by the change of the time-varying power systems’ parameters and load demand,is unable to provide meaningful reference for time-varying power system security analysis either,so the interval algorithm was applied in the power system flow calculation.In view of the conservative problem of the existing power flow interval algorithm,considering the correlation between interval variables,use interal affine arithmetic for fast decomposition method and linear optimization at the each iteration to inhibit the growth of interval.Through a comparison of examples shows that the proposed algorithm ensuring correctness,at the same time,effectively reducing the conservatism of interval results.
