A New Control Method to Correct Position Phase for Sensorless Brushless DC Motor |

Abstract The paper analyzes the relationship between position phase error and terminal voltage of sensorless brushless dc motor in detail. It is found that terminal voltage error can exactly reflect position phase error. Based on the aforementioned analysis, a novel control method to correct position phase is proposed. Terminal voltage error is input to PI controller, and delaying angle after zero-crossing is adjusted in time. Thus the phase error is corrected immediately. The validity of the method is verified by experiments.
