Dynamic Difference Value Method for Insulation Monitoring in DC System |

Abstract In accordance with the deficiency of common insulation supervising methods for DC system, the paper advances a novel method for on-line insulation supervising - dynamic defference value method. Meanwhile, the method detects branch grounding fault by the ratio of the voltage variation and leakage current variation after switching resistor twice. This method not only overcomes the detecting dead zone of insulation monitoring devices, but also eliminates the misstatement or omission result from zero-drift in sensors. It improves the sensitivity and accuracy of the measurement. It shows that this method is accurate and reliable in practial application.
