Abstract A Lyapunov-mode nonlinear control strategy is discussed in this paper, with the aim of obtaining a good stability convergence of switching power converter system. A trinomial energy-like function with the capacitor voltage error, the inductire current error and its integral error is constructed for the PWM-mode control equation of Buck converter. Then an equivalent control circuit is obtained by using the integral reset control circuit and a simplified voltage loop. Determination of the control parameters and analysis of the control performance are presented based on the system linear model. The simulation and experimental results finally confirm the validity of the proposed control.
