Abstract Single-phase locked loop (SPLL) technology plays an important role in process controlling which phase information is needed. In this paper, a novel SPLL algorithm is presented. The algorithm is based on synchronous reference frame and its structure is simplified by means of feedback decouple method. The algorithm widens the bandwidth of the filter so as to get a good dynamic performance. In this paper, the principle of the conventional SPLL method which is based on synchronous reference frame is introduced and then the alternative method is deduced. Furthermore, the controller is designed. The results of the simulations and experiments both testify the efficiency of the presented algorithm.
