A Kind of Phase-Locked Loop for Power System |

Abstract Power system signal analysis becomes more and more important as the power system is rapidly developed. This paper gives an improved phase-locked loop (IPLL) structure for the application needs of power quality detection, power conversion systems, power systems protection, and so on. Mathematical model is analyzed with control theory. The functions of the IPLL are showed based on Matlab/simulink. The analysis mentioned above shows that IPLL can extract phase, frequency, amplitude and also fundamental wave. The applications of the IPLL don’t need αβ transform and dq transform compared with conventional phase locked-loop. This is a new choice for power system signal analysis application.
