Abstract Grid-connected inverters play an important role in distributed generation systems and micro-grids, and T filters raise the importance for achieving low-distortion and high-quality power export from inverters with less inductance. However, grid-connected inverter system incorporating T filters is a third order system without damping and easy to resonate. A dual-loop control strategy based on synchronous frame is proposed in this paper, the strategy integrates an outer loop grid current regulator with inner capacitor current regulation, system modeling and stability analysis are presented. Simulation and experimental results verify the stability of the control strategy, and make the grid-connected inverter output current to be in phase with the grid voltage, The power quality into the grid is compliant with the IEEE 929-2000 standard, and the grid-inverter system has very good dynamic and static performance.
