| Research on Grid-connected/Islanded Seamless Transition of Microgrid Based on Energy Storage |

Abstract Energy storage plays a vital role in the reliable operation of Micro-Grid (MG). It can establish and maintain system voltage and frequency stability as the main power in the islanded operation of MG with the help of Voltage Source Converter (VSC). And it can also control the seamless transition of MG both from islanded operation mode to grid-connected operation mode and vice versa. The three-loop control strategies of the energy storage converter is analyzed in detail including power flow loop, filter capacitor voltage loop and filter inductance current loop. And the control process of the three-loop in the implementation of grid-connected/islanded seamless transition followed. Simulation and experiment are presented from a MG platform including PV, Asynchronous Wind Turbine(AWT), energy storage and typical load, showing the feasibility of the proposed approach. Some important reference can be drawn for the development of MG and the scaled renewable distributed generation.
