Abstract:Arc temperature is one of the key parameters to describe arc physical characteristics. Arc temperature distribution variations with time is of great importance for the analysis of arcing mechanism and contact erosion process. This paper combines the colorful high-speed camera and spectroanalysis. The arc temperature field distribution variations with time are achieved. The arc temperature system is demarcated with the help of the gap-adjustable arcing equipment, which produces static arc. On the basis of the above, experiments are carried out to measure static arc temperature distribution under different steady current condition, the effect of arc current on demarcating coefficient and arc temperature distribution are analyzed.
