Abstract:Using simulation software COMSOL to model and simulate ferrite-filled coaxial transmission line. It has significantly compressed the rise time of a high voltage pulse. The paper studied the amplitude of input voltage pulse for ferrite-filled transmission line; the increased amplitude of the input pulse voltage can reduce the rise time of output pulse effectively, making the pulse sharpening effect more obviously. Meanwhile, comparing the different radius of ferrite transmission line. The paper picked up the least amplitude of the input voltage that can play a pulse sharpening effect for the transmission line, and found the thicker transmission lines needed greater voltage to achieve pulse sharpening effect.
