Abstract:This paper describes the influence of teeth notching on electromagnetic vibration of automobile claw-pole alternator. No-load electromagnetic vibration of automobile alternator is studied by mechanical impedance method. With the auxiliary slot to weaken the automobile alternator electromagnetic vibration force is discussed, so as to reduce the motor electromagnetic vibration. A 36 slots 12 poles automobile alternator is analyzed by the electromagnetic and structure finite element simulation. Maxwell tensor method is used to analyze the torque ripple and 2 order exciting force waves of the alternator with auxiliary slot or not. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that automobile alternator electromagnetic vibration can be effectively reduced while choosing the suitable auxiliary slot.
