Abstract:Combining with classification algorithm, this paper simplified the algorithm of pulse width modulation(PWM) used in two-level inverter in αβ coordinate system. The simplified algorithm directly judges the sector in which the reference voltage is located and obtains devices switching points. Based on analyzing the effect of dead time on the devices switching points of each leg, the problem of inhibit common-mode voltage failure due to dead time is solved and common-mode peak voltages are eliminated through adjusting devices switching moments. Simulation and experiment results prove that the simplified algorithm of PWM is correct and modified inhibit common-mode algorithm proposed can reduce common-mode voltage effectively.
