Precision Measuring Technique for Contact Resistance of Contact Materials

Abstract:Contact material is very critical for the reliability of electrical engineering and electronic engineering. A new precision measuring system and relevant testing method are presented by introducing intermittent chopping for excited current, conditioning for low noise low drift weak voltage drop signal and averaging filtering algorithm in moving window comprehensively. The error of test facility is determined by using Level 0.01 standard resistors and Level M22 standard weights accurately. The hysteretic characteristics between contact resistance and contact force of AgCdO composite contact material with flat surface are measured with different excited currents. The results showed that the effect of contact force and excited current on contact resistance.
