Abstract:The equivalent magnetic circuit method for designing the sinusoidal interior permanent magnet synchronous motor to obtain the basic parameters of the electromagnetic designing is detailed. It presents the usage of the taguchi method to optimal design the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM), and details the optimal parameters and its constrain, reference parameters considering the error caused by the processing technic, built the experimenting orthogonal matrixes used by the taguchi method. Then solved the arrays by finite element method(FEM), analyzed the tendency and ratios of the affect of the motor’s performance index caused by the variable of the optimal parameters, then obtained the rules of selection and the optimized parameters based on the multi-objective optimization of the motor design. The results of FEM verify the validity of this method.
