Abstract:Due to the changes of motor parameters and the disturbance of load torque, the output speed of motor system is different from its reference speed, especially in the case of low speed, which may cause unstable servo system. An adaptive backstepping control method is proposed to deal with this problem, that is, the speed tracking control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with uncertain parameters. The proposed method can estimate stator resistances and loads with real time. Moreover, the proposed method can guarantee the tracking performance of the control system when the parameters of the system change. The simulated and experimental results show that the static and dynamic performance of the PMSM can be significantly improved by using the proposed method. Furthermore, the stability of the control system and the robustness for the parameter uncertainty and load torque disturbance can be guaranteed.
