Abstract:Although LCL filter is more effective since it more efficiently attenuates the switching harmonics in three phase voltage PWM rectifier, it causes stability problems. To enable stable operation, an active damping(AD)algorithm without extra sensors has to be used by introducing grid harmonics to control loop. A discrete model of control system is established by S/H (sampling and holding) method, in which the time delay caused by PWM modulation is considered, and its stability is analyzed in z-plane. Simulation results indicate the correctness of the proposed active damping strategy.
