Abstract The phase shift control is generally applied to resonant switched capacitor converter (RSCC) for voltage regulation purpose. But it tends to increase the peak resonant current and affect system efficiency. Thus a phase shift control based duty ratio optimization strategy is proposed to achieve zero voltage switching (ZVS). Firstly, by analyzing the voltage regulation principle of phase shift control, the conversion ratio range under soft switching are studied by the state trajectory method. Then the RSCC general conversion ratio model is established. By analyzing the influence of duty cycle on resonant characteristics of RSCC, the duty cycle optimization strategy is proposed. Experimental results show that, compared with traditional phase shift control, the duty cycle optimization strategy proposed in this paper can effectively improve the soft-switching conversion ratio range and the efficiency.
