Abstract Recently, the magnetic resonance coupling technology is used in wireless power transfer system with four coils structure, and the actual load is optimized to match the optimum load to achieve the maximum efficiency. In this paper, one method to achieve the maximum efficiency is represented based on loop circuit complex impedance designing. Firstly, the relationship between system efficiency and complex impedance of coils loop is theoretical derived using simplified equivalent circuit theory. Then, the simulation model is established to find the different between simplified theory model and actual system model, to calculate the complex impendence value in actual system, and to compare the performance of two different methods. Finally, a wireless power transfer system with four coils is built up to verify the method.
