Abstract It is necessary to research transient equivalent circuit parameters and their charac- teristics of DC traction power supply network for failure analysis,malfunction find and new protection method design. Conformal mapping model of embedded eccentric center conductor and equivalent resistance model are presented for the special structure of the DC traction power supply net in tunnel. The simulation results of the model tallies with experiment data,which show that the model can effectively calculate equivalent resistance,inductance and capacitance of electromagnetic transient model of the DC traction power supply net in tunnel.
