Power System Probabilistic Production Simulation Based on Equivalent Interval Frequency Distribution Including Wind Farms |

Abstract In probabilistic production simulation,load fluctuation leads to start-up/shut-down operations and related dynamic cost. Frequency and duration(FD) method can deal with the fluctuation and some indices are got from it,but for the consideration of infeasible start-up/shut-down operations of a generator in short time interval,FD method gets a result with error. With the increasing penetration of intermittent source of energy such as wind power,increased fluctuation of net load will have more impact. For more reasonable results,the concept of load duration curve is extended to interval frequency distribution and interval frequency distribution series in this paper,with consideration of the frequency information and time distribution information of load fluctuation. And a probabilistic production simulation method based on equivalent interval frequency distribution is proposed. EPRI-36 unit sample verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.
