功能化碳纳米管/环氧树脂复合材料性能研究

Abstract In this paper, epoxy resin is modified by carboxylic carbon nanotubes(C-MWNTs) and epoxy functionalized carbon nanotubes (E-MWNTs),respectively. Scanning electric microscopy (SEM) is employed to investigate the morphology of carbon nanotubes before and after functionalization as well as the fractured surface of composites. At the same time, the mechanical and dielectric properties of the composites are tested and analyzed. The results are as follows, the functional carbon nanotubes show well dispersibility in solvent, the diameter of E-MWNTs is larger than that of C-MWNTs. Along with the increasing mass fraction of the functionalized MWNTs, the impact strength of composites is improved obviously, as the doping content of E-MWNTs and C-MWNTs reaches 1.0wt% and 0.7wt%, and the impact strength of composites is increased by 52.2% and 39.9% respectively, compared with pure epoxy. Moreover, the flexural strength of two systems is increased by 35% and 26% when the content of nanotubes is 0.7wt%. The toughening mechanism of epoxy based nanocomposites is investigated and the addition of different functional carbon nanotubes maes different influence extent on the permittivity and dielectric loss of epoxy composites.
