Small Signal Modeling and Control of the Output Intrinsic Safety Quasi-Z-Source Buck Converter in CCM |

Abstract To a novel output intrinsic safety Quasi-Z-Source(QZS) Buck converter, a 4-order dynamic model is derived. The variance of the non-dominant poles caused by the change of the QZS network parameters and its influence to the high order system performance are analyzed. It is verified that, when the QZS network parameters L1, C1 are much smaller than conventional Buck converter LC filter network parameters, the two kinds converters have the similar open-loop frequency characteristics. Therefore, the conventional Buck converter compensator design method can be used directly to design the controller of the QZS Buck Converter. Finally, the experiment results are given which verify the correctness of the above analysis.
