Abstract New light source needs to meet the following four features: efficient, energy saving, no pollution, simulated natural light. LED meets all the needs. Driving high power LEDs with pulsating current can greatly increase the lifetime of LED driver due to removing the electrolytic capacitor. But this brings the problem of flicker of twice the line frequency. A novel electrolytic-less and no flicker LED driver is proposed on the base. And this not only makes the LED driver with long lifetime, but also solves the problem of flicker with pulsating current.
