Analytical Calculation and Parameter Analysis of Air-Gap Magnetic Field Distribution in Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor With Partition-Between-Poles Halbach Magnet
Abstract:An analytical method is presented, which used magnet angle and magnetizing angle of partition-between-poles Halbach magnet as analytical parameters, then the magnetic field distribution in the airgap region based on these two angles is developed. The influence of magnet thickness, magnet angle, charging angle on the magnetic field distribution in the airgap region is systematically analyzed. A partition-between-poles Halbach magnet, which providing better performance of the magnetic field distribution than the traditional Halbach magnet is presented. In order to require both relative maximum of fundamental amplitude and relative minimum of total harmonic distortion of air-gap flux density, the optimized design project of the magnet is proposed for different pole-pair number. The correctness of the analytical model is verified through FEA, and the superiority of the optimized partition-between-poles Halbach magnet is also verified further through FEA.
