Abstract:A novel configuration of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is presented in this paper, which is made up of a dual-redundancy PMSM drive and two inverters. This paper studies the angular because the two motors are connected to the same shaft with a different alignment, and deduced the importance of compensating the angular difference. In addition, this paper offers a method to measure the angular difference. Both motor simulation and experimental results present that the angular difference measuring and compensating is required in any case. Compensating the angular difference can reduce the influence of the dynamic and static performance, and decrease the loss of dual-redundancy system.
