Abstract:Anti-islanding protection is a mandatory feature for grid-connected inverters. A desired islanding detection method not only can detect islanding within acceptable duration, but also have less adverse impact on power quality. This paper analyzes the total harmonics distortion(THD)of grid-connected inverter. The connection of output current THD and anti-islanding algorithm is discussed. Based on it, an improved active frequency-drift method is introduced, which can meet the requirement of anti-islanding standard and has less distortion on inverter current. Simulation and experiments are developed to validate the proposal.
