Abstract:According to the motor design and manufacturing process,the back-EMF waveform is often not the ideal 120° flat top width of trapezoidal wave. The control of sensorless brushless DC motor commonly uses back-EMF method—by detecting the back-EMF zero-crossing point of non-conduction phase,delaying 30° electrical angle to obtain the commutation time. This method need to rebuild a motor neutral point with certain error and a depth filter circuit which results in back-EMF zero-crossing point detection delaying. By improving the principle of phase EMF method,qualitatively analyzing the EMF waveform and Fourier formula derivation,a rotor position identification strategy is presented for arbitary flat top width of the trapezoidal wave. The results of experiments show that the method can obtain the rotor position accurately and determine the commutation time of non-conduction phase,achieving a certain value of theory and engineering application.
