Abstract:With the purpose of improving the operation condition of shaft-generator, PWM rectifiers are generally applied in the industry. Traditional control of PWM rectifier mainly based on direct control and indirect control, and the later can also be classified into direct current control(DCC) and direct power control(DPC) according to the inner controlled variant. However, it is hard to measure power in shaft-generator PWM rectifier system in DPC mode, and DCC can only obtain limited dynamic performance. Therefore, based on traditional voltage and current dual-loop control, a novel control strategy using square of voltage and current as feedback is presented in this paper to improve system performance, such as dynamic responding time of DC voltages and AC currents,and immune to load variation. Furthermore, the novel control scheme is relatively easy to be digitally realized with fewer sensors. Finally, simulation and experimental results are presented to validate the control model and control method.
