Abstract:In this paper, a short-term prediction approach based on the solar radiation model of weather forecasting system is presented to forecast output power of photovoltaic(PV) system, which uses cloud cover forecast obtained from the meteorological department. Then a new power flow algorithm combining Newton-Raphson method and back/forward sweep method is proposed for the weakly meshed distribution network with the PV generation. The weakly meshed distribution network is equivalent to ring network part and radial network part, and then the power flow of the weakly meshed distribution network with the distributed PV generation can be calculated by applying Newton-Raphson method and back/forward sweep method alternatively to solve the power flow of the ring network and the radial network. Variable convergence precision calculation is used in this new algorithm to ensure the final accuracy and improve computational speed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by the calculation results of a 28-bus system.
