Abstract:The high frequency common-mode voltage producing by the PWM inverter can induce high-amplitude voltage on shaft of the motor. And the voltage on the shaft can generate shaft current that may shorten the life of the motor. In this paper, take the source of voltage PWM inverter for example, beginning with the mechanism of the common-mode voltage, it is found that the common- mode voltage is consisted by a series specific harmonics. According to the forward mentioned, a new control strategy that using the quasi-resonant controller for suppressing the common-mode voltage is proposed. Because of the giant at the resonant frequency is infinity, it can realize zero steady-state error control for the sinusoidal signal with the same frequency. So connecting the resonant controller to the conventional PI controller, focusing on the high-amplitude part of the common-mode in order to suppression the common-mode voltage. Simulation and experiment results verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
