Abstract:Based on quadrature-axis and direct-axis equivalent circuits for field-oriented permanent magnet synchronous generators (PMSG), the loss model including mechanical loss is established. The optimal efficiency analytic expressions of speed and direct current are obtained by analyzing the relationships of speed, direct axis current and loss under certain load. The relationship between speed and output electromagnetic power is analyzed under the maximum current limit, the optimal efficiency of speed and direct current joint control strategy is proposed and the implementation program and running process are determined. Simulation and experimental results show that: in the same load conditions, such optimal efficiency joint control is more efficient than ordinary optimal efficiency control, has approximately constant efficiency in the whole load operation range, and has not reduced dynamic characteristics significantly.
