Abstract:Due to instable sunlight intensity, the utilization rate of photovoltaic grid-connected systems is not high. APF devices are used in industrial three-phase power system, with high cost and single function. This paper presents a new unified control strategy which combines single-phase photovoltaic grid-connected and active power filter. The same device achieves photovoltaic grid-connected generation, while the remaining capacity of the system for some or all of reactive power and harmonic compensation. It improves the system utilization rate. The results of simulation and experiment validate the correctness and feasibility of the reactive and harmonic current detection methods, and the current loop and voltage loop controller design methods.
