Abstract:Because of the three-phase unbalanced load in high-speed railway,the high-speed railway traction supply system will produce a fast-moving negative-sequence current at run time,which can flow into the power system and have a significant impact on the safety and reliability of the core apparatus in electrical power system. Based on the analysis of the induced mechanism and the existing compensation methods on negative-sequence current,a electromagnetic hybrid compensation system (EHCS) of three-phase unbalance and power factor for high-speed railway traction supply system based on small capacity railway static power conditioner(RPC) and high capacity magnetic static vary compensation(MSVC) was adopted. The optimal coordination strategy and the smallest install capacity of EHCS are separately proposed by theoretical analysis under the condition of the complete compensation and meeting the national standard requirement of reactive power and unbalance optimized compensation. Finally,the validity and correctness of the proposed method and analysis results are verified by simulation and experimental results in the complete and optimized compensation conditions.
