Abstract：The paper investigates a three-phase rectifier based on triple line voltage cascaded Vienna converter. It can reduce the switch stress levels and numbers of dc capacitors and switches compared with conventional three-phase cascaded H-bridge converter. The power factor correction pulse width modulation (PWM) modulation strategy of the topology is realized by improving the traditional one-cycle control strategy. The DC side capacitor voltage of the topology is deduced in detail, and the minimum average and maximum harmonic components of the DC-link voltages are calculated. To balance the DC voltages of three Vienna converters, a zero-sequence current is proposed to inject into the three-phase currents. Simulation and experimental results verify that it can control not only power factor correction, but also maintain the DC output voltage balance of each module. Compared with the traditional cascade converter, the complexity and cost of the system can be reduced.
